Q:  What are groups?

Groups are special themed areas within the community, e.g. some groups are dedicated to specific discussion topics and others are for specific groups of people.

... groups can either be “open” which means that anyone can join, or “closed” which means that you need to be invited to join (for example, some groups are only for people who’ve attended one of our live courses, but the vast majority of groups are open to everyone).

Each group has –

• Its own discussion board.
• Its own blog (that only the owners can post to).
• Its own media gallery.
• Its own pages of content.
• A list of members.

Q:  How do I join a group?

Begin by signing in to your account, then go to the groups section and select the group you'd like to join...

... then scroll down to the very bottom of the page...

... and click the "Join This Group" button on the far bottom right of the page (if you can't see this button it might mean that you're already a member or that you're not properly signed-in).

Q:  How do I post to a group discussion board?

Begin by signing in to your account, then navigate to the homepage of the group you'd like to participate in. On the right hand sidebar, you'll see a link to the "group board" marked "Discussions"...

... then follow the standard instructions for creating or replying to a forum post.

Q:  How do suggest an idea for a new group?

If you have an idea for a new group you'd like to create, please post your thoughts in our Suggestions Box.

Q:  How do I subscribe to e-mail updates from a group?

Begin by signing in to your account, then navigate to the homepage of the group you'd like to get e-mail updates for...

... then click the "Subscribe to group" link to register for e-mail updates. Clicking the link a second time will unsubscribe you.

Q:  How do I leave a group?

Begin by signing in to your account, then navigate to the homepage of the group you'd like to leave...

... and click the "Cancel Membership" link...
