    Taking The Plunge

    Hello everyone,

It has been a fair few months since I last posted a blog on The Entrepreneurs site. The main reason for this is I haven't been doing very much recently towards my goal and allowed massive resistance to stop me from achieving what I wanted and that was to finish my book and start my own business related to my chosen genre which falls in the fields of both mind body & spirit and self help.

A change in circumstance has kind of forced me to re address where I am going and suffice to say I had a word with myself and now finished the book bar a bit of polishing and it then goes off for some professional editing! Today I have booked myself a ticket for a "creative cafe" meeting in my hometown. The ticket will also include a talk aiming to help people like me with an interest in setting up their own creative business so I have high hopes for that.

Nick Williams talks a lot about playing small and living in the shadows etc and the only way to change that is to simply "show up". Well I am looking to take that plunge right now and in the coming weeks and months I hope to be reporting back to you on how I am getting on.

    Hi Lynn

Congratulations on 'taking the plunge', overcome your resistance and completing your book - sounds like a series of real achievements to me!

I know how much hard work goes into writing any book and would love to encourage you to pause for a moment to recognise the threshold you have crossed in completing the first draft. The polishing and editing are part of the next stage on the journey and it is good to celebrate each step along the way.

If I can offer any help or guidance with regard to taking it forwards from here, don't hesitate to let me know as I have a lot of experience of writing & publishing, especially in the MBS/self-help categories.

Good luck with taking small steps forwards with your new business and I'll look forward to hearing how it's going soon.

    warm regards

    Hi Lynn

I want to encourage you to keep going.

Sometimes the hardest thing, at least is has been for me, is to get momentum.
In my own journey there have been two steps really helpful.

The first one is to get support. Maybe you can meet regularly with someone just to take action in any idea.

The second one is to finish something however small that maybe. After seen something actually finished creates a happy feeling inside, and that is great fuel for your journey

I wish you all the best

    Charo
