    Hey Ebru

That sounds great - you have really got how powerful that design phase is and how necessary it is. I love the look of what you've written. As you begin to write the content you can see how big it becomes - each part could obviously be a book in its own right, so see how it evolves and you may have more than one product there. Fabulous!

     Hi Ebru,

I love this, such an example to follow. This is so well thought out already, it is quite intimidating trying to follow it with my half-baked ideas. Sounds like your Ebook is alomost written now....

    Good luck

Re: Learning Outcomes and Learning Journey

    Hi Everyone,

More than 2 months have passed since our last "How to Create Your First £2000 From Infoproducts" coaching call. I was wondering whether any of you have started to work on your first infoproduct.

I think the course was absolutely brilliant and at the time I was very motivated to get started with my infoproducts business. However, since the last coaching call, I find that I have lost focus and got somehow distracted by other things. I outlined the chapters & learning outcomes which I posted here on Feb 3. Since then I haven’t written one chapter. I haven’t even written one sentence !

    Why ?

Well, lots of reasons (I think “excuses” is a better word!) :-)

1 ) I made a major change in my life : I have recently resigned from my corporate job after 18 years. I had been planning this for the past 4 years so I am very happy to finally have done it ! However, this has also meant that I have been answering hundreds of questions from other people asking me why I am leaving such a 'good job' and believe me it is hard work to answer them all and it takes a lot of time & energy (those of you who have done it would know what I mean!). I am now working my 6 months notice and I will leave in August/September.

2 ) I have been thinking that I need more information, I need to read more books and I need to listen in more teleclasses before I start writing : Wrong. Actually all I need is to take action on what I already know!

3 ) I haven't had time to write (what a big lie!:-) : I had "at least" 2 hours to write each week. I could even find more time if I wanted to. I just preferred to do other things.

4 ) I haven’t felt inspired to write so I kept postponing it : The other day I received March issue of Personal Success magazine and saw that the cover story “Stop Resisting Your Success” was written by Nick Williams (Nick, great article btw!). Great timing! In his article, Nick says “A professional knows that the act of sitting down to write , even if they don’t want to do it, will initiate the inspiration” and quotes Somerset Maugham, who said “I write only when inspiration strikes. Fortunately, it strikes every morning at nine o’clock sharp.” Very wise words. It is all about the mindset and commitment, isn’t it ?

So, I have decided that I will start writing this week. "At least" for 2 hours. I know from the past experience that once I start working on a project, the resistance just disappears like magic. As far as I am concerned, the most difficult part is taking the first step.

    Have a great week ! :-)

Re: Learning Outcomes and Learning Journey

     Hi Ebru,

     Well done!

I have been acheiving loads - but not in the E-products area.

Here is an analysis of what I achieved last week & what I plan to do this week: It is part of an Internet Challenge I am doing with the Moneygym.

     1.      Challenge Goal or Intention - by end June 2008

I am really impressed by Claire Westwood's approach to goal- setting - this woman is SO GOOD at manifesting. By using a goal that is a visualisation each week I am sure she will make it happen.

    For www.TheNaturallyHealthyPet.com

Increase free members from 100 free members at start to 300 free and 50 paid members at end of challenge

Increase sales of vet ebook to 1 per month & ultimately 1 per week

Be on top of the finances so I know how much expenditure monthly I have to recoup

To set up teleseminars & monthly meditations/ healing, with 20 paid attendees

To have written Ebook on ageing in dogs

    For www.holisticdoctoronline.com

Create an Ebook page on Holistic Doctor on line

Create a freebie & collect Email addresses

Create Advertising revenue - 10 local therapists (that I know) paying me £100 per annum

To set up teleseminars & monthly meditations/ healing, with 20 paid attendees

    Sell 1 Ebook per month

    For www.FinancialFreedomforDoctors.com

Collect Email addresses on a separate list to the 101 tips autoresponder list (wrong target, they keep unsubscribing)

To set up teleseminars, with 20 paid attendees

To have 10 sign ups for property investment

    > 2.      Achievements this week

    General-

I have created a spreadsheet for tracking visitors & (no) sales for all sites

    www.FinancialFreedomForDoctors.com

    Hi Ebru

Thank you for writing what you did - you have done a wonderful job of describing how easily resistance can "creep up" on us and seem very logical and seems to make sense, and then we become diverted and distracted. Its great that you woke up to do what you were doing and are now moving forward. My journey is certainly still one of falling foul to resistance - but noticing it quicker and getting through it quicker. I doubt that we ever beat it for good - just on a daily basis. It is also amazing that once we realise we are in resistance, we can soon see what we know we are called to be doing instead.

Looking at your web site I still think YOU need to be on it more - you, your journey and personality are a large part of what you do, as well as the results you help people achieve. Can I risk asking whether now you have resigned, you can show up more in your work and on your site?

Re: Learning Outcomes and Learning Journey

     Hi all

The hard part often comes when a lot of the foundation is laid and we have to start to walk our talk and really 'show up'

Well done on resigning, Ebbie, maybe there's a blog in this - how are you applying what is in your e-book to yourself? Believe me your own story can be a very powerful thing.

I am now having to 'show up' and meet, network and begin to do all the things I have been talking abut for ages, and it's scary.  Take baby steps and give yourself rewards and plenty of rest.

Don't have huge lists like Alisons' either! Work out what you can realisitcally do, then take small steps. If writing for a certain length of time doesn't work, set a number of pages per week.

Remember when you coached me on my e-book?

For each chapter - have a finish date and celebrate when you achieve it!

Declare right now when you will have the book finished and we will hold you to it!

Re: Learning Outcomes and Learning Journey

    Hi everyone

I've just written a very long post to you all and lost the lot!  I think I should have saved it as a draft before flipping back several pages to look at something else.  So this will be a lot shorter!

Thanks Ebru for your email re resistance - it's great to hear I'm not the only one!  Rachel you are so organised and productive I feel totally inadequate!  But hey ho.  Niki thank you for some advice you sent directing me to a post on templates - I forgot to reply and thank you at the time.  I will be writing about Site Build It on my website.  I'll let you know when I've written it and put it up.  I'm pleased to say (re SBI) I am now flying along and it's all making sense.

I have completed my Home Page and (gulp) put it up live on the web.  My biggest comfort is that it is easy enough to make changes. It took a lot of courage to finally put it up.  I know it's not perfect AND it never will be!  But I'm fairly pleased and I think it says everything I want to say.

I asked a couple of close (loving yet honest) friends to comment and as a result have tweeked it here and there.  However, having tweeked I am now completely word blind and have lost my flow.  I'm also worried that I've tweeked too much and destroyed the original feel (that I'd been quite pleased with initially).  Enough of this!  My main purpose in writing is to ask for your views and suggestions.  This site really does feel like my baby.  I even had a dream that I was nurturing a baby.  someone else had it and dropped it but I caught it before it hit the floor! Phew.

    Okay.  the website address is

    create-a-life-you-love.com

Look forward to hearing from you.

    Love Claire

Re: Learning Outcomes and Learning Journey

    Hi Claire,

Many congratulations on getting the site up and running :o) Here's some random thoughts -

I like the headline :o) the first few paragraphs sound a little choppy though... You chain together bunch of related concepts, and my hunch is that you might loose or confuse people. Its like - to do X you need Y, and to do Y you need Z, Z is all about A and so on... So it sets up a feeling of there being a big emotional / practical journey to follow. This maybe true, but I'd break it to them gently if possible...

I'd consider flipping the bottom paragraphs to the top "My aim is for this site to contain everything you need to create a life you love. I'll detail..." - so that people can see what they'll be getting immediately. If you're not launching the rest of the site for a while you could collect e-mail addresses and notify them when the bulk of the website goes live...

... is this website mainly about you teaching people how to create a life they love or about you sharing resources that you and others have found helpful for creating that kind of life? They're potentially quite different offerings - and if it's the latter - you could probably get away without including so many philosophical ideas at the outset.

Are you in the process of designing your website freebie - what will you be giving away to insentivise those valuable sign-ups? Is this site intended mainly to create coaching clients for you? Are you going to sell other peoples products as an affiliate?

For the text below - I might reword so that it's directed at the reader... "Our soul wants us to love ourselves, to trust ourselves and to be as happy as we can be." Could be "Your soul wants us to love yourself, to trust yourself and to be as happy as you can be." - and so on - it's more powerful and personal this way and you'll better hold people's attention..

Hope this helps and keep us posted...
